All Key Lost for Kukai Key Cutting Machine

In the locksmith field, the situation of “ALL KEY LOST” can cause trouble for both customers and locksmiths.

However, the key cutting machine has been changing the situation.

KUKAI key cutting machines, like Alpha Pro and Beta, both support doing “All Key Lost”.

 

When you lost the original keys, where to get bitting numbers?

1. Free search by key code function (key code can be gotten from cylinder, user manual, tag, barcode or VIN).

How to do “ALL KEY LOST” on Alpha Pro key cutting machine?

Take Mercedes-Benz HU64 - ID: 1019 as an example:

Click “Search”, input H-U-6-4 and select 1-0-1-9 to enter the key data page

After take apart the door lock (shown in the figure), there are 8 actual wafers, the wafer close to bow is the 1st cut and the wafer close to tip is the 8th cut.

We can see the bitting from the 8 wafers are 4,3,3,5,4,3,1,1 and usually the ignition lock will have 1 or 2 more wafers close to tip.

When we input the bitting to Alpha Pro, we can input the actual bitting for Space 1 to 8 and suggest to input “2″ or“3”for missed bitting.

The reason why we didn’t input “1″ for missed bitting is to avoid shallowest “1″ next to deepest “5″ and cause the key is not easy to be pulled out.

Whether it’s for their home, office or vehicle, it not only causes immediate inconvenience but also raises security concerns.

This is where the key cutting machine steps in.

Fix the key on the Side C of S1 jaw and the key tip should reach the top line of the jaw,

What we use is the key blank with double shoulder, so you will need to open the “Slant Correction”.

We suggest to slow down the speed to “10″ and use 2.5mm cutter to avoid break cutter.

Make sure the key is fixed flatly and the jaw is clean of shavings, then click “Cut” to start cutting.

After cutting is done, please clean the shavings on the jaw, otherwise it will affect the cutting accuracy.

Then fix the other side of the key blank in the Side C of S1 jaw shown in the figure.

The key tip should reach the top line of the jaw. Make sure the key is fixed flatly and the jaw is clean of shavings, then click “Cut” to start cutting the other side.

All cutting is done, please clean the shavings and test that the new key works well !!!
