Engraving Function of The Kukai Alpha Pro Key Machine

The Kukai key machine supports two engraving functions:

key engraving and mortise cylinder engraving (Compatible only with the Alpha Pro key cutting machine)

 

Key Engraving: Engraving letter/numeral/character/pattern on not only metal keys but any metal plates. (S5 engraving jaw and engraving cutter are needed)

Mortise Cylinder Engraving: Engraving letter/numeral/character/pattern on mortise cylinder. (S11 mortise cylinder engraving jaw and engraving cutter are needed)

Please calibrate S5 engraving jaw when you use it for the first time (No need to re-calibrate for subsequent uses).

No need to calibrate when using the S11 mortise cylinder engraving jaw

How to engraving text on key by Alpha Pro key cutting machine?

Fix S5 engraving jaw and engraving cutter

Fix a key to be engraved on the jaw flatly and clean up the surface of jaw.

Click “Engraving”, select “Key Engraving”

First to click “Measure” button to measure the engraving area of metal piece

Function instruction

“Size” means to decrease or increase the font size

“Cut Depth” means that the set-up depth range is from 0.01mm to 0.15mm

“Cutting Speed” means to set up slow, medium and fast speed.

“Add Text” means to input the text which you want to engrave.

“Edit Text” means to modify the text which you want to engrave;

“Add Picture” means to load an image from an USB disk

(Requirements for loading picture to Alpha Pro machine by the USB:

1. The USB should be FAT32;

2. The picture should be lower than 300px*300px;

3. The picture file should be put under root directory of the USB;

4. The name of the file box should be “LogoImage” in the USB).

“Save” means to save the current text or image as a template, and you can find it in the “Favorite” folder (Create your own database if needed)

“Up，Down, Left, Right” means to adjust the position of the text

“H” Text can be engraved horizontally or vertically

“Centered” means to Keep the text in the center of the key.

“Cut” to start engraving after the text is set up well
