Kukai key cutting machines – Volkswagen HU162T 8-cut All Key Lost (Applicable to New Jetta VS7, New Polo)
(Note: 1.5mm cutter is needed for HU162T key)
Method 1:
APP automatic calculation (simple & efficient)
Get the key bitting number can use the Lishi 2-in-1 tool or disassemble the lock to inspect the wafers (When checking wafers after lock disassembly, one side of
the wafer number is two-digit (e.g., 15) – use the second digit as the bitting number (for 15, the bitting number is 5)
Lishi 2-in-1 tool is recommended, as extracting the lock plug during disassembly can be cumbersome.
This lock features 8 front bitting numbers (no side bitting numbers or working surfaces on the side). Record the front bitting numbers in the order from the key
handle to the key head (positions 1–8).
Taking the lock cylinder in the figure above as an example, the bitting numbers are: 5 3 4 2 3 2 2 4.
Operation Steps:
1. Search “HU162T” select “1424(8)”.
2. Click “Input” and “All Key Lost” enter to “Door lock check ignition lock” page
3. Input the bitting numbers in the order from key handle to key head “53423224″ then click “OK”
4. Click “Cut” to start cutting
(Note: The bitting numbers displayed on the APP are dummy values; always cut the key based on the actual bitting numbers!)
Method 2:
Manual Calculation (To Practice & Master Lock Cylinder Arrangement)
Get the key bitting number can use the Lishi 2-in-1 tools or disassemble the lock to inspect the wafers (When checking wafers after lock disassembly, one side of the
wafer number is two-digit (e.g., 15) – use the second digit as the bitting number (for 15, the bitting number is 5)
The Lishi 2-in-1 tool is preferred due to the difficulty of extracting the lock plug during disassembly.
This lock has 8 front bitting numbers (no side bitting numbers or working surfaces). For key cutting, input “1″ for all side positions (B and C). Record the front bitting
numbers in the order from key handle to key head (positions 1–8).
Mark the wafer numbers:
1. Group A: 1, 3, 6, 8 wafer numbers
2. Group B: 2, 4, 5, 7 wafer numbers
Group A numbers are used directly as actual bitting numbers.
Group B actual bitting numbers = 6 – original Group B wafer number.
For example:
1. If the retrieved wafer numbers are 5, 3, 4, 2, 3, 2, 2, 4.
2. Calculate Group B values:
(1). 2 wafer: 6-3=3
(2). 4 wafer: 6-2=4
(3). 5 wafer: 6-3=3
(4). 7 wafer: 6-2=4
3. Final actual bitting numbers is: 5, 3, 4, 4, 3, 2, 4, 4
(Note: No side bitting numbers or working surfaces exist on the side. Input “1″ for both B and C sides during cutting.)
